Plain-language summary
This policy explains how we verify the professionals on Qwoll, what that verification does and does not mean, the conduct we expect, and how to report a concern. It forms part of, and is read with, the Platform Terms of Service and the Marketplace Provider Terms.
01 · Verification
How we verify providers
Before a provider can offer services, we check the credentials they give us against public registers and documents, where possible:
- Professional registration — state veterinary board registration for vets (where possible) and qualifications for veterinary nurses and technicians.
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
- A current National Police Certificate.
- Identity.
What verification means — and what it does not
Verification confirms those specific facts at a point in time. It is not a guarantee, endorsement, or warranty of a provider's conduct, clinical judgement, or the outcome of any service, and Qwoll does not supervise or direct how providers work. We check against publicly available information where possible; we do not check personal references.
02 · Beta period
Verification during early operation
Qwoll is in early operation. During this period our primary verification mechanism is the provider's own warranties, supported by sample-based and risk-based checks; we do not yet undertake comprehensive automated verification of every credential. We add and strengthen verification over time, with consent where additional personal information is required.
03 · Standing
Keeping verified standing
- Providers must keep their documents current. Lapsed documents auto-suspend the profile until renewed.
- Providers must notify Qwoll, within the time set in the Marketplace Provider Terms, of any change to registration, insurance, or eligibility.
04 · Conduct & safety
What we expect
- Act professionally and lawfully, and treat clients, pets, and other users with respect.
- Work only within your professional scope of practice. Veterinary nurses, technicians, and sitters must not perform acts reserved to a veterinarian.
- Care for animals appropriately and meet your animal-welfare obligations.
- Respect clients' homes, property, and privacy when delivering in-home care.
05 · Suspension & removal
When we act
We may suspend or remove a provider where a warranty proves inaccurate, a required credential lapses, a disciplinary or fitness concern arises, insurance lapses, there is a credible safety, misconduct, or animal-welfare report, or a court or regulator requires it. The process is set out in the Platform Terms of Service and the Marketplace Provider Terms.
06 · Report a concern
Tell us
If you have a safety, conduct, or animal-welfare concern, contact us at support@qwoll.com.au or through in-app messaging. Urgent animal-welfare or safety matters should also be reported to the relevant authority, and if anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
